MARKET PRICE REFERENCE GUIDE – JUNE 2026
The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (the Authority) is mandated under Section 54(3) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) to issue a quarterly market price reference guide to assist accounting officers make informed price decisions. In fulfilment of this mandate, the Authority conducted a Market Price Survey between 25th May, 2026 and 6th June 2026 in five (5) sampled towns (Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa and Nairobi).
The Market Price Survey focused on twelve (12) categories of common user items namely Building Materials, Cleaning Materials, Computer and Accessories (ICT), Electrical Appliances, Food Stuff and Beverages, Furniture, Petroleum Products, Pharmaceutical Drugs, Pharmaceutical Equipment, Stationery, Textiles, and Waterworks.
The data collected was analyzed and subsequently a Market Price Reference Guide prepared. The Guide can be downloaded below:
