Market Price Reference Guide September 2025

The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (the Authority) is mandated under Section 54(3) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) to issue a quarterly market price reference guide to assist accounting officers make informed price decisions. In fulfilment of this mandate, the Authority conducted a Market Price Survey between 24th August 2026 and 5th September 2026 in five (5) sampled towns (Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa and Nairobi).

The Market Price Survey focused on six (6) categories of common user items namely Cleaning Materials, Computer and Accessories (ICT), Foodstuff and Beverages, Petroleum Products, Pharmaceutical Drugs and Stationery.

The data collected was analyzed and subsequently a Market Price Reference Guide prepared. The Guide can be downloaded below:
